Race Day 5 is upon us, and brings with it the heat of an Australian Summer. This will contribute to a lighter south easterly breeze at 10kts, that will swing into 15kts south westerly throughout the afternoon.
Today's conditions look to favour the younger and lighter competitors on the course. This could be a good day of sailing for the always punctual, efficient, and early risers from the Japanese teams. Yet again, the Japanese teams are the first on the water - followed by a strong Spanish team and the only Brazilian team in the fleets.
The top three Open teams will continue to compete vigorously for the spot at the top of the table. Australian team Charlwood/Dawson 54351 can't wait to get on course, make up for lost ground, and continue to showcase their high and consistent level of 420 sailing.
